资源简介:
This axe weighs 40g, has an oval cross section, curved, asymmetrical edges, asymmetrical sharp blade and rounded butt. The blade, sides and faces are ground. The blade and faces are polished. Remnant pecking is visible. Jadeite is from the Alpine (Piedmont) area. In the Neolithic, Alpine quarries of Mont Viso produced small axe and adze-heads which were distributed across Western Europe. Displayed with HCA 172 B. An antler haft or handle for an axehead which is faceted and smooth, suggesting that it has been worked to achieve its present shape. This is probably not original.
