资源简介:

This dataset presents the results of an experimental study on the lateral load performance of Helical Steel Pile (HSP) foundations. HSPs are increasingly used to support critical infrastructure such as transportation networks, power systems, and renewable energy installations due to their reusability, portability, and ease of installation, even in challenging environments. They are particularly valuable for rapidly restoring infrastructure following extreme events. The research project aims to close current knowledge gaps around HSP performance under lateral loading, with three main objectives: Develop a comprehensive database of lateral load tests on HSPs. Demonstrate an innovative method for improving their lateral load resistance. Investigate and extrapolate the fundamental behavior observed during testing using advanced numerical modeling. The dataset includes results from 10 full-scale lateral loading tests on HSPs with six distinct configurations, all conducted in dense medium-coarse river sand. Piles were installed using a foundation screwing machine. Each test involved a two-phase loading sequence: Phase 1: Monotonic loading and unloading Phase 2: Cyclic loading in progressively intensified packages Instrumentation included a variety of sensors to record pile displacements, rotations, and applied loads. Additionally, two piles were fitted with foil strain gauges to monitor longitudinal strain development throughout the tests. The dataset includes: A detailed account of the test setup and procedures All raw experimental data Metadata on pile configurations and instrumentation This resource supports further research into HSP behavior and design, and provides a basis for enhancing foundation systems for resilient infrastructure.
