A confocal 4D-stack from a transgenic Drosophila embryo during prometaphase expressing lamin-GFP (green) and injected with rhodamine-conjugated tubulin (red) and the lamin-B tail dominant negative subfragment. The microinjection of a mixture of the lamin-B tail dominant negative subfragment disrupts the nuclear lamina and causes defects in mitosis.
