资源简介:
AFLPs were used to perform a study of genetic diversity of eight Crop Wild Relative (CWR) taxa on The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, UK, and other sites across the southwest of the UK, to characterise their genetic diversity and inform CWR conservation planning. Taxa included in the study: Allium schoenoprasum, Allium ursinum, Asparagus prostratus, Beta vulgaris subsp. maritima, Daucus carota subsp. gummifer, Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. maritimus, Trifolium occidentale and Trifolium repens. A total of 1,860 samples were collected and analysed using AFLP molecular markers. Two primer pairs were used per taxon and fragments between 100bp and 500bp were scored as present (1) or absent (2). Binary matrices for each taxon are provided, with latitude and longitude coordinates for each population. We acknowledge the EU Seventh Framework Programme funded project, PGR Secure ‘Characterization of biodiversity resources for wild crop relatives to improve crops by breeding’ (Grant agreement 266394) and Natural England (Grant agreement ECM 6269 ITT 748) for providing financial support for this study.
