Supplementary materials to "The formation of terraces and channel pattern changes of mountain rivers: findings from the upper Sava Valley (Slovenia)".

This supplemental material contains eight figures and one table. The figures show traces of a palaeochannel maintaining traces of erosional surfaces within terrace III (Fig. I, and traces of horizontal stratification and unit bars produced by a flood event at site I (Fig. II). Figure III shows traces of point bar deposits overlain by fines at terrace level III, and the sedimentary architecture of a wandering channel planform at the modern floodplain level at site II. The internal structure of channel bars situated within the modern Sava River bed at site II was shown in Fig. IVb and c. A sequence of. Figures V and VI show ridge and swale sequences with traces of oblique accretion at site III. Traces of a wandering channel planform preserved at terrace level III at site IV, including changes in the orientation of layering, erosional surfaces and compound bars, are presented in Figs VII and VIII. The table show grain-size data characterizing sediments of the modern Sava floodplain and terraces levels.
