The composition and function of the gut microbiome are strongly associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD). We performed amplicon sequencing of bacterial 16s rDNA from the stools of 65 patients with different coronary heart disease (CHD) degrees and 22 healthy controls. There were significant differences in the gut bacteria between healthy controls and patients with varying degrees of CHD. Our data provide a resource to investigate further the role of gut bacteria in the study of CHD.
