DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DIVIDING A MAT ON A CONVEYOR BELT

The invention relates to a device and to a method for dividing a mat (3) moved continuously on a conveyor belt by means of a diagonal saw (4) movable across the width of the conveyor belt (1). The problem addressed by the invention is that of creating a possibility for cutting through the mat (3) by means of the diagonal saw (4) with no risk to the conveyor belt. The invention consists in the arranging of a separating means (5) between the mat (3) and the conveyor belt (1) in the region of the diagonal saw (4) and/or in the region of the cutting line (9). The invention relates to a device and to a method for dividing a mat (3) moved continuously on a conveyor belt by means of a diagonal saw (4) movable across the width of the conveyor belt (1). The problem addressed by the invention is that of creating a possibility for cutting through the mat (3) by means of the diagonal saw (4) with no risk to the conveyor belt. The invention consists in the arranging of a separating means (5) between the mat (3) and the conveyor belt (1) in the region of the diagonal saw (4) and/or in the region of the cutting line (9).
