We perform optical simulations of the coherent evolution of an atomic wavepacket under the action of a double standing-wave light pulse. Predicted population oscillations in [J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 39, 3012 (2022)] was observed, and the beam divergence angle was obtained by fitting the data. Here we present experimental images obtained with a CCD camera.
