Bioeconomy policy instruments and policy strategies (2025 Update) The excel tables are part of the ShapingBio Project and provide selected information on following two reference points:1. Policy Instruments2. Policy Strategies Both reference points were analysed at the national and European level. Additionally, policy strategies are also analysed at the regional level, but here only few countries are covered.The goal of the excel tables is to provide the reader a substantial overview of the policy landscape in the European bioeconomy. The excel tables do not provide fully comprehensive lists of all instruments and strategies, but give an overview of different, selected policy measures in the European Union. At the heart of the analysis are the typology of supply-side policy instruments and demand-side policy instruments derived from Edler/Gheorghiou (2007). Some pieces of information in this excel table were taken directly from respective strategies and instruments (e.g. goals) and were copied in. In other columns, information was summarized. The excel table contains information that was available until end of 2023. For national dedicated policy instruments an update of existing instruments in March 2025 and a more detailed description (see below) has been elaborated.
