Anopheline RNA- sequence Total transcriptome Illumina sequencing for Jamaica.

"Sequencing was conducted to assess possible differences in genetic sequences in an effort to understand impact of novel compounds on Anopheline mosquitoes. The toxicity of four different novel chemicals were analysed against Anopheline species. Anopheles gambiae G3 populations were topically exposed to distinct doses of novel compounds and the toxicity of the compounds were recorded in comparison to an acetone control. While the toxicity of another novel compound was tested against Anopheles funestus, the mortality was assessed against an acetone control . Toxicity data were recorded and the total RNA-sequencing using Illumina kit was conducted on 30 pooled mosquitoes that survived the highest toxicity concentration per novel compound. The control populations, 30 An. gambiae or 30 An. funestus were also sequenced."
