eDNA sample from Yueqing Bay, southeastern China Targeted loci environmental

This study explores fish biodiversity in Yueqing Bay, a semi-enclosed coastal bay in southeastern China. Environmental DNA (eDNA) was extracted from surface water samples collected across various sites within the bay. The fish 12S rRNA gene was targeted to detect species presence and assess community structure through high-throughput sequencing. The resulting data contribute to a better understanding of fish assemblages in Yueqing Bay and provide a scientific basis for ecosystem monitoring and conservation in rapidly developing estuarine environments.
