Confocal data of Sphaerius martini and Crowsonaerius minutus

This dataset contains the raw confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) slices for holotypes of <em>Sphaerius martini</em> (NIGP178177) and <em>Crowsonaerius minutus</em> (NIGP178178). This dataset is associated with the publication "New fossils of Sphaeriusidae from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber revealed by confocal microscopy (Coleoptera: Myxophaga)" (DOI:10.3389/feart.2022.901573). Confocal images were obtained with a Zeiss LSM710 confocal laser scanning microscope, using the 488 nm (Argon) laser excitation line. The original CZI files are provided, which could be opened by the ZEISS ZEN software.
