资源简介:

Today, soybeans, cotton, corn, rapeseed, wheat, rice, alfalfa, papaya, squash, potatoes, tomatoes, sugar beets, and strawberries are grown in large quantities worldwide as genetically modified crops. They account for 47% of the total cultivated area in the USA, 58% in Brazil, 61% in Argentina, 7% in India, and 4% in China[3]. According to sources, consumption of genetically modified soybeans and corn has been associated with pathological conditions in human kidneys and liver, and a decrease in blood protein to abnormal levels; furthermore, the reproductive function of rats fed these products was impaired. However, there are also research findings that deny the negative effects of these products on the body.
