It includes raw and processed data from mouse models investigating the role of skeletal muscle heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in regulating exercise capacity. Files cover genotyping and validation of muscle-specific HO-1 knockout mice, treadmill exercise performance tests, molecular and biochemical assays (heme content, oxidative stress markers, mitochondrial enzyme activity), and histological and ultrastructural analyses of skeletal muscle. Together, these datasets support the central finding that skeletal muscle HO-1 activity is a key determinant of aerobic capacity and exercise performance.
