Photographic group portrait of Antelope Valley's first band, ca.1895. The band is composed of twenty members arranged in three rows with their instruments. All have brass instruments except for two percussionists seated at left. There are four women in the band, and they are all wearing hats. The men are all wearing suits, but only a few have ties. They are posed in front of a large clapboard building with three rectangular windows, the rightmost of which is open. The band was in Almondale, a few miles east of Little Rock, California.
