DescriptionThis dataset accompanies the publication "A hollow fiber membrane permeance evaluation device demonstrating outside-in and inside-out performance differences" and includes experimental data used to produce the figures in the article. The study presents a new device that can measure the flux and permeance of individual or multiple hollow fiber membranes in both the outside-in and inside-out orientations, partnered with a python-based open-source permeance analysis software. Additionally, the device is used to study compression and fouling of hollow fiber membranes in both outside-in and inside-out orientation in dead-end mode, with behaviour differences observed dependent on membrane orientation.This dataset includes:Raw data (time and mass) from data logging load cells.Test conditions (time and pressure) which are coupled with the raw data and input into the flux and permeance analysis software "Membrane flux analysis tool".Flux values calculated from the analysis software.Permeance values calculated from the analysis software.Flux decline data generated by the analysis software.Plot data derived from the above data sources.Python code to generate figures from the plot data.Figures generated by the python code.Key ReferencesMembrane flux analysis tool:Citation: Warner, Timothy; Mullins, Nathan; de Lannoy, Charles-François (2025).
