This dataset contains experimental and analytical data supporting the optimization of metabolite extraction from Calotropis procera seeds using a sequential ultrasound–microwave (US–MO) assisted extraction process, its comparison with conventional Soxhlet extraction, and the evaluation of insect repellency activity against Sitophilus zeamais.
The dataset integrates raw experimental measurements, processed design and response data, and statistical analysis outputs derived from Response Surface Methodology (RSM) based on a Box–Behnken experimental design. Extraction outcomes include yield and chemical composition, specifically total phenolics, flavonoids, sesquiterpene lactones, and terpenes. Bioassay data quantify insect distribution and repellency performance of the resulting extracts.
The dataset is structured to support exploratory data analysis, process optimization, method comparison between US–MO and Soxhlet extraction, and assessment of relationships between chemical composition and bioactivity. All files are provided in interoperable CSV format, enabling direct reuse in statistical, chemometric, and bioactivity modeling studies focused on natural product extraction and botanical pest control.
