miRNA sequencing of the pancreas of a mammalian hibernator

This study aimed to identify and quantify the relative abundance of microRNAs in the pancreas of control and hibernating 13-lined ground squirrels. By investigating these molecular changes, we sought to enhance our understanding of the mechanisms extreme animals use to suppress metabolism in response to physiological and environmental stress.
