资源简介:
Figure S9: The cholinergic marker VAChT labels axons in the developing and adult kidney. (A) Section immunostaining of P0 kidney cortex, aorticorenal ganglion, and bladder showing co-localization of parasympathetic nerve marker VAChT (magenta) with TUBB3 (green) near kidney vasculature (CD31, yellow; arrowhead) and in the bladder (arrowheads). VAChT+ fibers are observed in the aorticorenal ganglion where they pass through, but signal does not overlap with TUBB3+ soma (arrowhead). (B) Sections of Pod-Cretg/+;R26tdTomato/tdTomato P0 kidneys immunostained for VAChT (magenta) show VAChT+ axons near glomeruli (tdTomato, green; arrowheads, top panel) and proximal tubules (LRP2, yellow; arrowhead, bottom panel). (C) Section immunostaining of adult kidney cortex showing co-localization but not direct overlap of VAChT (magenta) and NPY (green) near vasculature and glomeruli (CD31, yellow; arrowhead). Non-specific staining of the tubule epithelium is enhanced in adult tissues but highlights VAChT signal near the epithelium (arrowheads, top panel). (D) Adult kidney sections immunostained for VAChT (magenta), TUBB3 (green), and CD31 (yellow) show that VAChT signal overlaps with TUBB3 and closely associates with the vasculature (arrowhead).
