This dataset contains ATR-FTIR spectral data, Python scripts, and analysis outputs used for comparative Genetic Algorithm–Wavenumber Selection Partial Least Squares (GAWNSPLS) analysis of penetrating alkyd and semi-film-forming acrylic wood coatings exposed under 60 and 120 W m⁻² xenon-lamp weathering conditions. The data support the comparative analysis presented in Fig. 3 of the associated Review submitted to Polymer Degradation and Stability.
