New redox-active materials for manipulating cell signaling processes

This thesis investigates the development of redox-active macromolecules designed to reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells, which contribute to diseases such as inflammation, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer. A key focus is the use of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) as a therapeutic antioxidant. The research emphasizes the synthesis of anti-oxidant polymers that demonstrate cytoprotective effects and effectively reduce intracellular ROS levels in cell environment.
