Global Emissions Based on Pledges and Current Policies

This data visualizes the Climate Action Tracker (CAT) expected absolute emissions in 2030 and compares these with emissions consistent with benchmark pathways in line with the 1.5°C Paris Agreement goal. CAT is a science-based project that tracks government climate action and measures it against the globally agreed Paris Agreement aim of "holding warming well below 2°C, and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C. CAT monitors what governments are doing to reduce climate change. It compares their actions to the goals of the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius.
