Dataset: Local valuation of ecosystem services from protected areas along a forest–savannah gradient in West Africa

This dataset contains anonymised responses from a structured questionnaire survey conducted among local residents in communities surrounding seven protected areas in Ghana. The study aimed to determine the perceived importance of ecosystem services among local people and assess whether socio-demographic characteristics and ecological zones in Ghana influence these perceptions.
