Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Coltran Mill, Mexborough, South Yorkshire, October 2024

This collection consists of images, GIS, site record data and a report form an archaeological evaluation by Wessex Archaeology. Work occurred at Coltran Mill, Mexborough, South Yorkshire, in October 2024.The results of this evaluation show that the foundations of the 19th and 20th-century industrial buildings at Coltran Mill survive to a moderate level of preservation. Walls, foundations and floor surfaces have been recorded in five of the six trenches, showing an equal level of survival across the evaluation area. There is no evidence of activity predating the 19th century.
