16S rRNA profiling of intestinal mucosa-adhered microbial communities in IBD patients and non-IBD controls. Homo sapiens

Intestinal mucosa-adherent bacteria communities from patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and non-IBD control subjects are analyzed by 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing. The 16S data is then integrated with data from other matching multi-parameter studies (such as immune profiling of CD4+ T cells by flow cytometry and intestinal mucosa gene expression profiles) to identify biological features predictive of inflammatory status in IBD patients.
