资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic DMS and DMSP made by Gill Malin and oceanic ammonium made by Malcolm Woodward during the AMT13 research cruise in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Atlantic Meridional Transect programme. The cruise began in Port Stanley on 10th September 2003 and ended in the UK on 13th October 2003 with a spatial coverage of +45S to +48S latitude and +10W to +47W longitude.
The data consists of:
-94 measurements of dissolved dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-109 measurements of particulate dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-85 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column by filtration, purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography;
-40 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric autoanalysis; and
-514 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by nanomolar ammonium system after Jones (1991).
