Predicted distribution models of corals and other benthic macroinvertbrates in shelf habitats in the Santa Barbara Channel (NCEI Accession 0297220)

Generalized linear models (GLM) generated for predicting the distribution of macroinvertebrate-sized hydroids, brittle stars, and short and tall sea pens that live in the Santa Barbara Channel (SBC) off California. Models contain probability of occurrence in the SBC from Refugio State Beach (34.58 N, 120.18 W) to Hueneme Canyon (34.18 N, 119.28W) along 5 survey blocks: Refugio, Coal Oil Point, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Hueneme Canyon. Presence-absence data from geo-referenced video data and still images were fit to binomial GLMs with logit link functions (multiple logistic regression).
