The Green Army team will protect and enhance listed threatened species and migratory species by undertaking restoration activities on rainforest and riparian sites. Moriarty's Reserve (adjacent to World Heritage Rainforest at Iluka) will undergo revegetation (encourage Koalas) and at Maclean Rainforest (Endangered Ecological Community and a recognised camp for the Grey Headed Flying Fox) activities will including weed control of nationally significant species such as madiera vine and other vine weeds. Lower Clarence riparian sites on Everlasting Swamp, Wooloweyah Lagoon, and Hickey Island that support a range of migratory bird species listed on Japan-Australia Migratory Bird Agreement, China-Australia Migratory Bird Agreement and Republic of Korea-Australia Migratory Bird Agreement treaties will undergo restoration activities to improve foraging and habitat for these species.
