16S V3-V4 Subsampled Test Dataset

This dataset provides a small, subsampled collection of 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data targeting the V3–V4 region, intended for rapid testing and validation of bioinformatics pipelines. The dataset is derived from publicly available sequencing runs deposited in the Sequence Read Archive (SRA), including accession numbers: SRR13005968 SRR13005969 SRR13005986 SRR13005987 The original data were generated using paired-end sequencing (2 × 300 bp), suitable for full overlap of the V3–V4 region. To facilitate fast and efficient pipeline testing, the datasets were subsequently subsampled, reducing file size and computational requirements while preserving representative sequence characteristics.
