Daily cigarette consumption among regular smokers Indonesia 2019, by gender

According to a survey on regular smokers in Indonesia in 2019, 33 percent of male respondents claimed to smoke between ten to 15 cigarettes a day. Female smokers tended to smoke less, with 31 percent saying that they smoked between five to nine cigarettes daily. While cigarette smoking is decreasing all over the world, Indonesia seemed to be bucking the trend. Indonesia has one of the highest smoking rates in the world and is one of the biggest producers of tobacco worldwide.
