资源简介:
This dataset contains seasonal frost and active layer measurements, ground penetrating radar (GPR), and surface characteristics from a permafrost coniferous hillslope located near Yellowknife, NWT. The dataset includes 155 active layer thickness (ALT) points from a 6400m2 survey area. Raw project files for GPR transects taken in June and October are included. Data of vegetation and bare ground point density, elevation, organic layer thickness, snow depth, and flow accumulation from GIS analysis are provided for many of the active layer measurements. The data were used to map permafrost throughout a representative permafrost landcover and associate variable ALT with surface conditions. The data are associated with the publication: Muenchrath, A., Spence, C., and Ireson, A. (2026). Spatial Variability of Permafrost and Active Layer Thickness in a Forested Hillslope of the Taiga Shield. Permafrost and Periglacial Processes (in review).
