The survey gives a description of the working conditions of slaughterhouse workers by examining the work pace, the monotony of work in slaughterhouses, types of wages, ergonomic strains, climate, noise, etc., as well as by examining a number of symptoms and illnesses: symptoms of the locomotor system, stress, defective hearing, industrial accidents, eczema, etc. Finally, the survey attempts to relate the strains of slaughterhouse work to symptoms found among the slaughterhouse workers
