Draft genome dataset of the Antarctic hair grass <i>Deschampsia antarctica</i>

This dataset includes the genomic reference files of <i>Deschampsia antarctica</i> (Poaceae), a vascular plant native to Antarctica, as a part of the research project "Post-Polar Genomics Project: Functional genomic study for securing of polar useful genes". The files comprise protein and transcript FASTA files. Genome sequences were generated using the Oxford Nanopore GridION platform according to the manufacturer's instructions. A total of 78 million reads were produced, and de novo genome assembly was performed using the SMARTdenovo assembler (https://github.com/ruanjue/smartdenovo) with default parameters. Genomic annotation was produced using MAKER2 release 2.31.8, and BLAST analysis was conducted using ncbi-blast-2.2.29+, resulting in 116,861 proteins
