Overview This feature service provides a detailed inventory of designated parking spaces within the Cape Cod region, compiled as part of a project funded by the Cape Cod Commission and conducted by NV5 in 2025. The dataset is derived from high-resolution aerial imagery collected in spring 2025 under optimal conditions to ensure high horizontal positional accuracy ( Feature Layer ParkingSpace: This layer maps individual parking spaces designated for vehicular parking, identified through pavement markings or other distinct physical indicators. The data includes classifications on parking space location (e.g., street, lot, covered garage), type (parallel, perpendicular, angle), size, access restrictions (public, private, employee, handicap, etc.), ownership, and management. The records also track installation dates and update history, supporting asset management and planning applications. Geographic Coverage The dataset comprehensively covers the Cape Cod area, supporting regional planning and infrastructure management efforts. Imagery and Data Quality The parking space features were delineated from four-band true color and near-infrared aerial imagery obtained during spring 2025. The acquisition window prioritized leaf-off, snow-free, and low shadow conditions with a high sun angle to maximize feature visibility. The pixel resolution of the imagery is approximately 7.5 centimeters, ensuring detailed depiction aligned with 40-scale planimetric standards. Project Attribution This dataset was developed as part of a Cape Cod Commission funded project and fulfills regional planning and infrastructure inventory needs.
