Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1986, Omnibus no. 04

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1986 comprises 20 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1986. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1986 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; education, occupational status and public or private employment of the head of the household; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election; and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Knowledge of and attitude to the pamphlet 'Vælgerne og EF-pakken' (The Voters and the EC Package) which was sent out before the referendum; actual vote at the referendum; most important reasons for voting 'Yes' or 'No'; reasons for not voting; for or against Danish membership of the EC at a hypothetical referendum today; attitude to a withdrawal from the EC; time when the respondent decided to vote as she/he did; the four TV programmes on the EC package; discussions with family members, friends and colleagues about the EC package; the impact of the EC package on Denmark's sovereignty and independence; the impact on Danish conditions if the referendum had resulted in a 'No'; attitude to whether a 'Yes' to the package is a step in the development towards a European union; environmental interests versus economic growth; membership of a trade union under LO; attitude to a number of statements on EC co-operation; knowledge of the death criterion (heart versus brain death); and attitude to transplants
