资源简介:
The Arkansas Archeological Survey (AAS), through support of the St. Louis Center Corp of Engineers, rehabilitated and consolidated the archeological collections and support documentation from Les Johnson (3AS159) and Cedar Grove (3LA97). Both of these collections were generated from past U. S. Army Corps of Engineers projects and fall under the regulations as published by the Secretary of the Interior’s NAGPRA Regulation 43 CFR Part 10 (the Federal Register on December 4, 1995). In addition to a complete inventory of the artifacts and human skeletal remains, a finding aid for both was created and an inventory of the human remains and associated funerary objects was compiled in compliance with the Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The AAS was also tasked with scanning Corp of Engineers archeological reports on file in the Registrar’s Office. These reports were scanned and then stored in a tiff format on the AAS online database- AMASDA (Automated Management of Archeological Site Data in Arkansas). This allows easy access to archeological survey reports. Rehabilitation and Consolidation of the Archeological Collections and Support Documentation from Les Johnson (3AS159) and Cedar Grove (3LA97).
