Sex is given for male (m) and female (f). We distinguished between four biogeographic regions: Atlantic (A), East Pacific (EP), North East Pacific (NEP), and West Pacific (WP). Habitat preferences were differentiated into bivalves (biv), vestimentiferans (ves), alvinellids (alv), shrimp (shr), bacterial mats (bac), and plankton (pla). X indicates presence.
