A surface electromyography (sEMG) dataset of the human upper limb, designated as HUL-sEMG-6, was constructed to characterize six common hand gesture patterns involving finger movements. sEMG signals were primarily recorded from the superficial forearm muscles. A total of 10 healthy participants (7 males and 3 females) were enrolled for data collection. All participants were screened and verified to have no history of neuromuscular disorders in the months preceding the recording sessions.Data were collected using the integrated armband of BrainCo prosthetic hand, which sampled sEMG signals from 8 channels at a rate of 2 kHz).
