This series contains correspondence and plans in relation to a water supply scheme for Paynesville. The correspondence is principally with consulting engineers, outlining the proposal. The plans describe the Paynesville reticulation area, showing spot-levels. It was remarked, in June 1948, that the local residents considered a water supply in Paynesville to be urgent. The Paynesville Waterworks Trust (VA 2145) was constituted on 19 July 1960.
