A possible link between soil salinization and death of a dominant halophyte shrub in a desert of northwest China - soil data

This data presents paired soil profile and plant physiological–biochemical data collected from a 50-year chronosequence of artificial Haloxylon ammodendron plantations in the desert-oasis ecotone of arid northwestern China. The study uses a space-for-time substitution design with three stand ages: 20-year, 30-year, and 50-year. For each age class, three independent replicate plots were established, resulting in nine experimental plots in total.
