Meiotic recombination within S. lycopersicum x S. cheesmaniae LA1039 Back-cross hybrids

This project consists of short read data from one F1 hybrid and 238 Back-Cross (BC) samples. First an F1 hybrid between between S. lycopersicum cv. Moneyberg-TMV (female) x S. cheesmaniae LA1039 (male) was created, followed by using the F1 and Moneyberg-TMV for the creation of 238 male and female BC-samples. These BC samples are divided over 119 Male-BC samples, using the F1 as male parent and Moneyberg-TMV as female parent, and 119 Female-BC samples, using the F1 as female parent and Moneyberg-TMV as male parent. Short-read DNA sequencing was performed on all 239 samples using Illumina platforms. The data was used to detect male and female specific meiotic recombination events within inter-specific S. lycopersicum x S. cheesmaniae LA1039 hybrids.
