Environmental DNA-based profiling of planktonic eukaryotic communities along the Yangtze River

This project aims to investigate the spatial and temporal dynamics of planktonic eukaryotic communities along the main stem of the Yangtze River using environmental DNA (eDNA) sequencing. Water samples were collected from 30 sites along the Yangtze river during three sampling campaigns conducted in August 2024, April 2025, and December 2025. High-throughput sequencing data targeting eukaryotic genetic markers were generated to characterize community composition and diversity.
