EMPIRICAL STUDY OF VARIANCE ESTIMATOR IN SIMPLE AND STRATIFIED RANDOM SAMPLING USING BOOTSTRAP APPROACH

In this study, bootstrap, a resampling technique is used to determine accuracy of finite Population estimators. Two bootstrap techniques namely, Bag of little and Naïve Bootstrap methods were applied in simple and in stratified random sampling schemes to ascertain which of the bootstrap method that is more efficient. The efficiency of both bootstrap estimators were compared using the variance, with relative efficiency and coefficient of variation.
