Arthrospira platensis AGB-AP02 has following important characteristics: 1 Riched in nutrition such as protein, minerals, vitamin B12, beta-carotene, and essential fatty acids like beta-linolenic acid. 2 Resistance against high alkalinity, high salinity, high carbonate and bicarbonate. 3 Unstable genetic transformation system. We have sequenced the whole genome of the Arthrospira platensis AGB-AP02 by Solexa and predicted the ORFs. At the same time we subject all the ORFs to the database such as nr, nt, kegg and interproscan for annotation. We have compared the genomes of Arthrospira platensis AGB-AP02, Arthrospira maxima cs-328, Synechocystis PCC 6803 and Trichodesmium erythraeum IMS101.
