This dataset contains wave forcing data extracted from the Japanese 55-year Reanalysis (JRA-55) atmospheric reanalysis hindcast, processed using WAVEWATCH III model output for shoreline evolution modeling at Hasaki Beach, Japan. Spatial Coverage: Grid point nearest to Hasaki Beach (35.87°N, 140.8°E) Temporal Coverage: 1979-2019 (hourly resolution) Variables: Significant wave height (Hs, m) Peak wave period (Tp, s) Wave direction (Degree) The wave climate at this location is characterized by: Mean significant wave height: 1.29 m Average wave period: 6.57 s Dominant wave directions: ENE (winter), E-ESE (summer)
