Permian basalts dataset from the Jianchuan in the western Yunnan, SW China

Raw data of major and trace elements in Permian basalt from Jianchuan, western Yunnan. Based on detailed field geological investigations, twelve basalt samples were collected from southern Jianchuan for major, trace, and rare earth element analyses. Major elements were determined using a DY938 X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer, with analytical precision better than 5%. Trace and rare earth elements were measured using a Thermo Scientific X Series II inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS).
