PRISMA CHECKLIST AND FLOW CHART

The PRISMA approach was chosen as it represents an appropriate systemized and transparent way of selecting literature, and then screening and synthesizing research findings; compared with traditional narrative reviews. PRISMA will ensure that the literature selection is unbiased and non-arbitrary. PRISMA allows for the integration of different types of evidence from a variety of disciplines in a structured scientific fashion. By using multiple databases, we have attempted to ensure that our review has captured a wide range of evidence PubMed: includes clinical and biomedical literature related to lactation physiology and breastfeeding complications.
