Genome sequencing of Japanese honey bee, Apis cerana japonica. Apis cerana japonica

This project is sequencing Japanese honey bee, Apis cerana japonica to understand the species - specific characteristics (e.g. resistance to several pathogen). By comparing with genome sequences of Western honey bee Apis mellifella, we understand genetic back grand of these characteristics.
