Colonic mucosal response to fecal microbiota transplantation

While efforts have been made to understand microbiome changes following fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) in ulcerative colitis, little is known about the host molecular response. Here, we aimed to identify host molecules that are associated with disease remission by examining the colonic mucosal transcriptome prior to and following FMT or placebo using shotgun sequencing.
