Membranes with fast and selective ion transport are widely used for water purification and energy conversion and storage devices. Despite various improvements, it remains challenging to design cost-effective, easily processable ion-conductive membranes with well-defined pore architectures. We have recently developed a new generation of ion-conducting membranes with comparable, if not superior, performance and stability to the current gold standard, Nafion. It is now pressing to reveal the structure-transport correlation of these new chemistries, as the results are critical to proceed with the patenting process, and will direct future advanced designs. We now ask for time on the QENS sprectrometers to help this endevour, which will important information as already proved by our group on other polymer exchange membranes.
